This Present Darkness
Book By: Frank Peretti
Book Report By: Tim Cox, age 13
“This Present Darkness” starts out with two angels that look like men going to a fair in a town called Ashton. A demon called Rafar Prince of Babylon is coming to prepare the town for the Strongman, who is right under Lucifer. The Strongman is going to make his headquarters there. The only problems are: Hank Busche a pastor, Marshall Hogan a skeptical reporter and Tal the Captain of the Host of Heaven. The Omni Corporation, a group trying to take over the town, has put their guys in almost all of the influential places like: police chief, pastor of another church, Whitmore College board of regents, judge, professors at the Whitmore College, treasurer at the Whitmore College, just to name a few. Hank Busche, Marshall Hogan and the remnant are fighting this thing with the help of people who were kicked out of town by the Society for knowing too much about them. In the end the FBI guys get there and arrest everybody (bad guys), the demons get killed and dispersed; the General and Captain Tal also kill the Strongman and Rafar.
The book is about Angels, demons, demon-possessed people, good guys, bad guys, and dead guys. Good versus evil. It’s thrilling, its exciting, its scary, its sad, its happy, it’s a page-turner, it‘s AWESOME!!
