Recently I’ve been pondering the Proverbs and the help that they give us in training children. I challenge you to teach them diligently to your children. We want our children to be vividly aware of the difference between the wise and the foolish. If, then, they choose to make decisions contrary to the Word of God, they will be fully aware that they are acting the fool with all of his consequences....

The verse he quotes is: “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.” Is. 49:16, he then shares, “How dare you doubt My constant remembrance, when the memorial is set on My very own flesh?”

A great deterrent in the training for responsible behavior is the making of excuses. Primarily it is the excuse of the irresponsible one that is then accepted by the one in authority OR the excuse of the irresponsible one that is conflicted among those in authority.
